“This is a pic that we took at Caras Park in Missoula, Montana during the Strange Days Tour. This pic was taken theday of the show, and Lynch had a bunch of meat they had to cook before it went bad. We hooked up a nice lil BBQ so Lynch could get his MEAT fix! LOL! After we ate, me and my boy Ryan went on his bus and and banged some beats we recorded at Buzz Records Studio! Lynch is DOPE. One of the tightest rappers to ever grab a mic! But what I liked about him was theat he was cool too kick it wit and talk to!” –Much Love, Big Mike in Montana

G-Macc, the Madesicc artist who’s became familiar to so many after his haunting chorus for Brotha Lynch Hung’s “Colostomy Bag”, was able to talk to us about Lynch’s upcoming Coathanga Strangla and much more. The Sacramento MC shared with us the making of the album, how he thinks it stands up to Dinner and a Movie, reveals his writing process, and in a telling statement, declares what he wants to bring to hip hop:

People always love a good villain. There’s just something fun about rooting for the bad guy. As children, we are groomed to cheer and look up to the heroes in life, fictional or not. And while heroes like Batman, Jack Bauer, and James Bond might be cool to rally behind, it’s their insidious criminal counterparts that really drive the story. You would have to look no further than America’s obsession with serial killers for proof. From John Wayne Gacy to Jeffery Dahmer, these twisted individuals all have loyal followings. Their sick exploits intrigue us and keep us tuning in. It should be no surprise then, that fans can’t get enough of the Coathanga Strangla. Continue reading
